How about you go live on the street, robbing and killing and selling crack to eat, and use trashcan fires for warmth in the Cleveland winter, then see how many LP's you put out before you forget about that shit.

EDIT: Besides, nobody made you listen. That album went gold so obviously some people are still interested in what they have to say.

yea but doesnt there become a point where you dont do that anymore, and you have millions of dollars, you've already told your story 20 times, and where you must step up as a lyricist to create something better? uhhhh id like to hope so for the sake of hip hop ..

Your judging that whole album on that one song. Just because they chose to release that as a single doesn't mean that's what the whole fucking album is about.

I own that album and they talk about a lot of things; religion, family, their past, and their relationships. The streets are what they know and what they had to deal with for the first twenty years of their life. I know there's things that I've experienced that will still effect me decades from now, even if I don't have to deal with them on a daily basis.

yea i totally havent heard the album but them choosing to release that as a single was a bad move as a hip hop group, you cannot deny that
and who cares if the album went gold?

It all comes down to which you think is better: E. 1999 Eternal, or 36 Chambers.

It's hard for me even to decide. At present, I like them both equally: Bone Thugs' flow KILLS, but Wu Tang is just so diverse.

or better yet name another cd from wu-tang that was good.

nas and wu-tang are the most overrated rappers, due to backpackers. yeah i said it.

and this is coming from a wu-tang and bone thugs fan.

EDIT: i will say though, Wu-tang had better solo records. But bone had the more consistent group albums.

I don't give a shit about record sales, I was just making a point. And how was releasing I Tried as a single stupid? It's a decent song; it doesn't really matter what it's about.

I'll deffinatley agree with this. That first round of Wu solo releases (and even some of the second) are classics, and Bone Thugs solo stuff isn't all that great. It's not aweful, but it's nothing to write home about. They clearly work better as a group.

Wu-tang may not have any other albums that were as amazing as 36 chambers but they all have some fucking amazing solo albums, OB4CL, Liquid Swords, Tical, Supreme Clientele, Etc. Etc. To say wu tang is overrated is rediculous, Wu-tang was the peak of all east coast hip hop

I know what overrated means..

They deserve all the hype they get. Liquid Swords, OB4CL, and 36 Chambers are some of the best hip hop albums to ever be released.
