I shave mine for Lispin..

My girlfriend at the moment likes it completely shaved.
My girlfriend before that preferred a little hair above it (landing strip if you will?)
What I'm trying to say is, it all depends on the girl.

and by shave, I mean above and around, the balls, and partially into the taint. I also trim (don't shave) my ass.
To all the people that say it itches, they clearly have only done it once. After 1-3 times of shaving it completely the "itching" stops completely.
