Scent of a Woman

Instantly fell in love with this movie. Probably Al Pacinos best role.

Spider-Man Homecoming

6/10 - Another pretty meh Marvel film. Generic actor, with a generic personality, generic villain, with a slightly abnormal personality, but a WAY too fucking convenient/stupid relation to Parker, shit was just stupid. Also, it didn't make too much sense... You saw the villain's house, if he was selling high-tech weaponry for 8 fucking years, he'd have more than enough money to be set for life. Not much of it made sense tbh, and the painfully outplayed dumbed down kid humor is just getting so old.

I'm feeling like there's not much hope left for me in enjoying these kind of movies, but I'm praying that eventually something good will come out to change my mind. Talked to two friends who saw Thor and they said it was EXACTLY what I thought it was going to be. Oh, GotG was super successful? Lets make another GotG movie, but do it with Thor instead, since that'll be great. Fucking idiotic. Ofc some people think it's a "masterpiece" though, which is just fucking laughable lol, but w/e, easily amused people probably are much happier in general, than I am.

Samson and Delilah (1949)

Well... if this was supposed to be some kind of classic, it didn't age well. I hadn't watched a movie in a long time and I figured that since it was Hedy Lamarr's birthday I'd have an excuse to watch one, and make that one of Hedy's most famous movies.

The movie is really cheesy. The props, the costumes, the dialogues, the acting, the biblical propaganda... some good moments here and there, but it really isn't anywhere near the level of other classic movies of the historical or biblical genre. Maybe this was good back in the day, and maybe the lion fighting scene was the 1940s equivalent of the bear fighting scene from the Revenant, but 68 years later the only redeeming quality it has left is the eternal beauty of Hedy Lamarr and her amazing legs.

Valerian and the city of a thousand planets

Visually pretty impressive, props to the Computer Guys, the real actors felt pretty much out of place because of the immense amount of CGI. The two main actors are incredible bad, cringeworthy dialoge and horrible line delivery. Two teenagers in their puberty and everyone treats them like elite soldiers...
The entire movie felt pretty soulless, nothing is in there that realy catches your emotions. With better actors and writing this could have been a good movie, as it stands it's just nice to look at.

Haven't been able to enjoy a Marvel movie other than Logan in years. Same with DC.

It's terrible.
