Disclaimer: Have been watching the old Star Trek tv show. Realy liked it since most of the episodes felt like smaler sci fi movies. Acting and the fight scenes are a bit stiff but overall I realy enjoyed my time with it. Thought I should check out the movies then

Star Trek - The Motion Picture

Felt like an overblown episode. Big budget for an attempt to make a big movie. It's nice to see all your beloved characters on the big screen but the writers didn't do their homework and forgot why the show is something realy special.

Star Trek - The Wrath of Kahn

Mostly considerd the best of the Star Trek movies and I have to admit it's pretty damn good. Great villian, the character interactions are back and an awesome and emotionally grabbing ending. Loved it.

Star Trek - The Search for Spock

Felt a bit pointless and irrelevant for the franchise, probably fans and business executives demanded it.

American Movie

Documentation about a guy who is passionate about filmmaking, you follow him through the production of some zero budget horror movies. Realy funny at times, you can take away an inspirational message and it's just heartwarming to watch. I recommend it to all the film buffs out there.

This is a great one but I thought it was kinda depressing as theese fellas are clearly the king of procrastination, and waste their lives doing jack shit. Still an awesome film!

Most of them yeah, but I thought they were happy with their lifes, happy where they are and happy where they are going. But Mark was realy eager to achieve something and make something out of his life.

The only sad thing is, that with all his passion he didn't make it.
To be honest I thought some of the shots in his short film "Coven" looked pretty awesome.

The Wolf Pack (2015)

Documentation about a group of brothers, and one sister, who lived their entire life confined in one apartment in New York. They learned everything they know about the world through watching films and spend their time reenacting them.
Feels a bit creepy and weird at times and the father of these silblings is a monster. But overall it's tone is pretty positive since the family shares a good relationship with each other. Just a slice of life of some socially awkward but very sympathic outcasts and their passion for movies.
Don't know if I would recommend it though, since it's pretty boring from time to time, but if you want to experience an unique story go check it out.

We bought a zoo

Mostly watched it because of the joke made in the Oscar show. It's not great, but harmless so I don't judge it too harshly. Try hard feeld good/family movie.

Kollektivet

Thomas Vinterberg's newest movie. I absolutely loved Jagten and wanted to check this one out. The plot centers around a couple of persons who start a commune. Relationships start to shift and this is the beginning of a standard drama.
Not to say that it's bad but it fails to grab you. Has some hitting moments but they are few and far between. It's ok, but nowhere near as good as Jagten.

Well fuck me, right?

Paterson

I know it's Jim Jarmusch so I have to expect something more artsy, but this was way too much. It felt forced and pretentious. The acting was awkward and there was no chemestry between our main protagonists.
It's slow and painfully boring, didn't like it.
