The value of fg is determined by the user that is spending it.

As for removal of gold; orbs, searches, LS listing fees, LS item sale fees, guilds and their ever expanding list of costly features, post modifications, friend slots, and youtube slots constitute enough mechanisms in place to hold the value of forum gold.

Most users do not have tens of thousands of forum gold. Taxing them is unfair and unnecessary.

Remember the only way to obtain forum gold is to trade something of value. Taxes are supposed to serve a purpose.

I think listing fees are reasonable- every auction house pretty much has them. As for storage, you can already transfer to other characters for free, and, on top of that, you can put them on the market for a very unreasonable price to ensure they don't sell, and that gives you a little extra space. As for forum orbs and profile tweaks.. those aren't neccessary and are just a way to show off wealth, along with showing that you play enough d2 or ladderslasher to want a customized profile. I would like to see a caste system of raffles though.. say, instead of just a 5fg raffle, have a 1fg, 5fg, and 10fg, or more. That way people like me can afford a ticket once in awhile =P I've only made 1.90fg on ladder slasher so far =(
