What about an HIT strength routine? not sure if that's the most efficient way to strength train and condition. or if thats counterintuitive. the 4 day split I like with my schedule. would you recommend any super sets or drop sets? and what effort would you use for the lifts you don't specifically mention?

Well, it depends. HIIT strength training routines are great for endurance but poor for strength. Training cardio at HIIT standards as well as a traditional strength program work for both and can maximize both fields. Regarding the sets, you can pyramid up in weight each set. Drop sets and supersets are more for hypertrophy, which isnt necessarily something you need, as it will add bulk and less physical functional strength.

Max effort for the prescribed reps on non-mentioned items.

Hey man, you've helped me before working on a workout routine. I'm looking to cut about 15 pounds and was wondering what kind of split you'd recommend? How many days should I be doing cardio for a fat burn? I'm just trying to slim up before the holidays and want to look better overall. I'm just having a tough time thinking of different workouts to do/core workouts that you'd recommend! Thank you!

should I expect my weights to lower with each consecutive max effort lift. so if I have one set of deadlifts at max effort I shouldn't expect to get the same weight at the same amount of effort on the next set

You should expect your weight to increase with each set, and the final set being the heaviest set for maximum exertion at the prescribed number of reps.

IE:

set 1 - 135 x 12
set 2 - 155 x 10
set 3 - 185 x 8
set 4 - 205 x 6

etc

Heard a pop in the right side of my groin the other day. No bruising or visual signs of anything, but its sore. Should I see a doctor?
