The whole point to this build is you + merc. If you learned the strategy you would see that War Cry, a skill that will stun every single mob, sometimes takes extra for the super uniques, is used to control trav. Therefore your merc will take very little to no damage while doing trav. So in short, all your merc does is do dmg and bring on the gold. Its pointless to put on fort or botd. More GF = Better.

war cry doesnt stun EVERY single mob. it does only to the normal monsters, bosses like ismail etc doesnt get stuned. and you cannot control all the travi monsters, there will be always some that will hit him

You are misinformed. I have been doing this for over 3 years. If you apply War Cry over and over, they have a chance to be stunned. It doesnt apply on them every single time, but IT CAN stun them. If you read the guide careful, what I have just said is in the guide. The only time War Cry does not apply is on Bosses. If you dont know, PM me, but keep the spam out of here. Thank you.

Out of genuine curiosity... have you ever had to / tried to level yourself from 1-9x, or have you always just grushed/CS'd (or Uber'd) when making a GF Barb?

The very first few barbs I did, I leveled myself. Thats where the learning curve came in. Start of every ladder season I do the normal trist route, tombs, cows or trav to 25, then baal with friends to 50, go to NM, do that stuff and baal to 70 etc. But I always had a pretty close skill route and stat route. I would provide the Bo/warcry, friends would kill. I never did the uber trist route except for later in levels 86-90 etc.

Have gotten quite a few pms asking if starting at 84-86 is necessary. You can start sooner, but I would imagine it would be difficult. The more u invest in your barb and gear him up, the better off you are going to be doing trav. If you wanna start sooner, make sure your merc has a good weapon and high def wealth. If need be, practice on Nightmare trav until you are comfortable with the strategy. Again, the more you put in the more u will get out of it.

its so easy to do travi in hell with stun SO EASY...

also its not worth doing gf run in nm <.< I dont even have all my lems in my gear yet and I get 700k most of the time in hell

in nm I only get 200k-400k

btw I just got over 1m in hell xD right now

and I havent sold the yellow items yet ^^
