Getting old with little time to watch stuff anymore...

Just finished Death Note. Loved the whole thing up until the last 1.5 episodes... I'm fine with Light dying and 'good' prevailing. But it was such a let down to see Light who was always so well put together fall from grace :(

I would of given it a 9.5/10 had it ended more appropriately. Going to have to chalk it up as an 8/10 though.

The ending will sit better with you the more you think about it. The whole story was Light's decent into madness, calm, cool and collected while ultimately losing a piece of his sanity with every move he was forced to make. L said it early on, "we have to assume that his psyche has reached god-like proportions". Light had a near god-like psyche, but in the end he's just a man and men crack. It was unfortunate that his entire downfall was at the hands of a single man who couldn't follow direct orders, but that's also what the whole show was. Light was close to infallible and only ever backed into corners by the idiots who pushed their way into his life. I feel like he had to die, would have been an even cheesier and boring ending had he just ended up ruling the world. My favorite part of the last episode was seeing Matsuda completely lose his fucking shit, that was just perfect imo.

And yes, I'm obviously a fanboy with the sig/avi, but I was genuinely pissed about how it ended until I really reflected on what could have happened alternatively. I truly do believe it was a fitting conclusion to one of my favorite shows.

Haven't given it much time. Pretty much rage posted after finishing it. I feel a bit better about it today. I think I'm going to go back and re-watch the last few episodes to pick up on some smaller details I may of overlooked.

Thanks for the post :)

Thanks.

So I recently finished Trigun & thought it was pretty good. I'd rate it about a 7.5/10. It had a good, intriguing storyline, fair amount of humor, & a came equipped with a few scenes that gave you the feels. Albeit I would have liked some more action scenes. It kind of reminded me of OPM, with a overly strong protagonist who doesn't really have to try all that hard, with a bunch of dry humor. I did have to flook up a few things online to fill the gaps left in the anime. Plus the ending is a bit of a cliff hanger. I plan on reading the manga sometime

I'm currently watching Fate/Stay, pretty good so far

Idk why people like that arc. I thought it was the most boring. My favorite is the phantom troupe arc.
