remember Ichigo became one with his soulslayer once. Maybe this bond cannot be undone. And so they can't seal his bankai because Zangetsu and Ichigo are one?

maybe it's because he never got back his powers, he just stole from the other captains. like when he stole from rukia in the beginning. this would also make sense because we haven't seen zangetsu yet either.

anywho this is dumb both the 8th 13th and 1st can easily dispatch these quincies without their bankais i mean that moinster those 3 arrancar summon had to be absorbed to be "defeated" by a quincy with high enough power to make the 3 summoners seem like shit

so the main force are prolly espada level and should be easily destroyed by the shikai's and kenpachi 2 HANDS LAWLZLLULSZ

this arc is just to bring the manga to an end aizen was definitely the best villain with a real goal so far this just seems like quincies revenge(although i will guess a quincy + other power users are prolly part of squad 0 or something stOOpid)

Pretty much. This is a filler arc that happens to be canon, and the final arc of the story. They need to bring it to a close somehow.
