What still bugs me is that when Yhwach was sleeping and their powers were swapped, Haschwalth showed Yhwach /exactly/ how he would be defeated, and when the all-knowing all-seeing Yhwach woke up from a dream where he is cut in fucking half, he said to himself "nah, it's probably just a dream."

That's what's called "writing yourself into a corner". They made him so stupidly powerful that the only way he's fall would be stupid too. IMHO they should have stopped where the anime ends

It would've at least made sense if Ichigo's attack was the finishing blow when Ychwach was under Aizen's hypnosis.
