I will not take credit for this guide as I didnt come up with the method of glitching meph. Credit should go to VVR4ITH for this!

This will be a cheap version that can fetch you some very nice gear in classic. You can always improve with better items but that is up to you.

Lets get started shall we:

Stats:
20 Frozen Orb
20 Cold Mastery
20 Icebolt
20 Teleport - (optional see below)
1-2 Static Field (2 makes the range just a little big bigger which imo is very handy)
1+ Warmth
+1 pre required skills

(Maxing teleport will result in you being able to teleport almost forever but reaching max will require a long time as you can never pass a3 on hell mode. Should you rather wanna use mana pots then save some points there and get some other skills.)

Items:

This is what I believe is the most effective setup when compared to the costs:

Full Irathas set (see below)
2x rings - with fcr and as much res you can get (Fr/Lr/Cr) (You will need 70%fcr in order to get faster teleport that with 50% from just shard which speeds up the runs + makes it safer)
Shard - (Nothing to say - 50%fcr 50mana 10all res nothing even comes close)
Twitchtroe - (needed in order to get high block with my recommended shield)
3pdiamond kite/large shield/unique ward - With the sockted shield you get 57% all res whereas ward gives 30-50% but has higher block%.
Rare boots - Try and get some with frw/fhr and at least to resists above 20% (poison not included) frw isnt really need but since you will be using teleport but is rather nice to have.

Now on to the part of actually using the glitch on meph.

The way you go about doing this is you only kill meph in a game where you cant complete the quest! A good example of this would be in a cs-run. This will make him drop a lot of rare items IFyou are wearing absolutely no mf% at all. This really is the beauty of this bug as you dont need to sacrifice killingspeed/power to get mf. Besides we are not after set/uniques as rares are king in classic.

When you get to meph I found it easiest to just teleport right under his chin and hit him with 1orb and then go nuts with static till his life is under the "M" in his name the finish him off with orbs. OBS: you should be very aware of wheter the quest is open or not so always hit "Q" and check. Also you can see if there are flames coming out of the portal at meph that you are good to go. If the portal however is dark get out of there.

Please ask if you have any questions.

Good guide, I made the mistake of making my glitcher a Blizzard build the first time around.
Was Highly inefficient for mana reasons.

Woops completely forgot to add the information about the usage of Iratha:

Set comes in 4 pieces:
Gloves
Amulet
Helm
Belt

This combined gives us the following stats to fool around with:
65% all resistance
+25 to dexterity
10% To Maximum Poison Resist
10% To Maximum Cold Resist
10% To Maximum Lightning Resist
10% To Maximum Fire Resist
20% faster run walk

Very nice mods for a starting char and the items are also easy to find / cheap to trade.
