I've seen lots of topics asking about what IDE's Compilers to use, here's a list of tools/sites which detail free JAVA and code 'Edit' tools

Sun One/Forte JAVA IDE
http://developers.sun.com/prodtech/javatoo...ools/index.html

Link to good free compilers web site
http://www.thefreecountry.com/compilers/java.shtml

Exam Diff - tool to compare 2 files for differences (I use this regularly to compare output files against 'known' good output files)
http://www.prestosoft.com/ps.asp?page=edp_examdiff

Edit Plus - nice wndowsy editor, with syntax hylighting
http://www.editplus.com/

Nedit - Unix Editor - an editor that can be set up to look just like windows, with all the nice keyboard shortcuts - I used to use this all the time.
http://nedit.org/

Nice site detailing tonnes of information about free compilers for all languages
http://www.thefreecountry.com/compilers/

If people find this useful, perhaps it could be stickied.

Paul.

I was wondering if there was a free version of codewarrior... I know that there is a trial but sometimes there are free versions of a software that doesn't have all the features as the full version.

No, there isn't. Or you could just pay $50 for it. It's good software. It's my choice of Java developement.
