They're pretty much the same.

not quite. throwing depletes your quantity by 1 for each attack, melee attacky deplete your quantity by 1 every X attacks (where X is determined by the inherent durability of a single javelin and the percentage that durability is reduced)

I didn't mean how fast/ratio they reduce their dura/quantity, just said it reduced its quantity by melee attack.

Just get a barb to replenish after each dueling session?
