I don't have a lot of faith either, that's why a deposit is needed.
If med is holding the fg and people are paying 2 year buy in, and rebuying every year, there's a lot of incentive to not walk away from the team and to find a buyer if you intend to walk. There's a profit motive in the market if somebody neglects their team, commissioner can auction the team off for minimum bid of 1 year buy in the winning bidder essentially 2x their fg if they win on minimum bid. Neglect would have to be defined in the terms and conditions, and the surrender of the 1 year buy-in / deposit would be agreed to. If it's a league that's running for a couple years with success we could have a waitlist etc..
jsp mods are actually quite good about honoring the terms and conditions, I just observed a scammer accusation where Textbook essentially concluded that by sending fg the user had agreed to the terms and conditions in the original post and had no claim. (Where their claim was asking for a refund of buy-in against the terms and conditions.)
I personally hate parking money and getting no return on it, so I dislike the idea of having a big pool of fg just be dead for perpetuity.. but it would definitely incentivize people to manage appropriately. It just needs to be structured properly.
Didn't read but I agree
