Hello. I think my identity might have been stolen.

I received in my gmail an invoice from a place called Geek Tech, something I don't use and have never heard of. It says that "your previous plan with us is no longer valid. A charge of $ 258.99 has been placed to your account and will appear in your monthly statements within 12 hours."

So I immediately called the number underneath. It took me to a man with a foreign accent. I asked him to cancel the order, but he just told me to go to a website (starts with ybcare.live), which he purported to be secure. I asked him to simply cancel the order but he insisted that I go to the website.

What should I do?

Easy... ignore it brah

If it shows up on your credit card somehow.... just dispute it as a scam. Do not give them any info or go to any their website or click on any links in that email.

Don't do this. Never call a number that's provided to you in one of these emails. Never respond. Never give them information. Never open the email.

Thank you guys for the real responses.

Also, if it's a scam, should I report it to the police?
