I’m leaving for rehab I gave all my stuff away I’m terrified my anxiety is skyrocketing I’m not looking for sympathy here but do we have anyone that has experience here with this?

a step in the right direction, you got this man...

fortunately ive never let substance abuse get a hold of me, but it can be a really ugly monster. i have a friend who has recently checked himself in for alcoholism and he will be fighting
this for the rest of his life, as im sure you will be too. admitting you need help is often the hardest part.

You got this brother, the first few weeks will be the absolute worst but I promise you will get healthier and happier. I’ve been there.

Been there
Gonna be hard
Take it as a game
A personal challenge
A fight against your demons
Succeeding has higher rewards than you can imagine
You will want to go back at it
But if you do
If you stop fighting
You’ll just end up starting over from the beginning
Go through it, fully committed, once, now
What you experience in the present moment is not permanent
Its a temporary state
Soon to be a vague souvenir
You will look at it and smile, knowing you did the right thing

STAY STRONG

As someone who's seen loved ones go through rehab multiple times to end up degenerates homeless tweakers... make it the last time you go to rehab

best of luck

admitting you have a problem that you don't have control over is the most important step

No personal experience but friends in my youth were in and out.
It's going to be boring, don't accept drugs from other patients.
Practice reading and channeling your inner chi.

the best way to remove demons of addiction is by holy smoke.
