I find myself often navigating between tabs to ensure I don't miss a topic or pm so I was thinking about maybe we could get notification in game if enabled:

Something simple like:
* You have a new message
* Someone answered your thread

Since we have amazing notification for the vault now, I would find it useful (not sure about the rest of the community)

And I see an even bigger interest for mobile user

We have a thing on JSP called Instant Messenger that gives you a notification of a sound if u recieve pm or someone posts in ur topic

Yeah you leave it open as a tab, i have never tried it on phone

I play souly on phone and having my phone receive notifications helps a lot on this aspect so I don't think it's really needed in game but it's a good idea

Your Suggestion in a sense used to happen.

"You have a new Message/???" notification while playing Ladder Slasher (in a catacomb, map, afk in town etc) in your chat logs... now in those days, that MSG in game would not appear for 2 hours later (if I remember correctly).

There was, and maybe still is a LAPSE of the information between the D2jsp Site and the Ladderslasher v1.33.1 links.

Now, I think this was removed to reduce lagg between server and user, but however, I am not sure.

Thus, your suggestion may actually increase more 1006 Disconnects.
