Yep, worst pain of my life.
Worse than a kidney stone.
I've experienced both, multiple times.

1st herniated disc was shoveling some road base, went in with the shovel hit a bigger rock that stopped my shovel.
Force of the stop went right into the disk it felt like and put me down.
2nd disc I was lifting some battery backups for one of out switch rooms, was a perfect lift so HR couldn't come after me too. They didn't say one peep.
Had to get wheel chaired out on that one. This one was way worse, and more of the fluid came out of my disc. Was pressing up against my spinal cord.
2nd one was a much longer physical therapy process than the first.
