Hi guys not sure if this right thread to post but my friend texted me a site called temu. and he said it is like amazon and i looked it up on google saying its an online super mega store.

He sent me a link to temu saying the more ppl he gets to sign up he gets gifts and i am guessing more ppl = more money to get more things.
and the link pic showed something like "$100 in gift have friends sign up"

I dont trust it and told him right away i aint clicking link. He said he had like 2-3 friends do it but still i dont trust him or the site.

I dont know if its a scam or not but maybe you guys can shed some light ^_^

Temu is a legitimate app. Not too sure on their referral system but if it's a link to their official app/website it doesn't sound like a scam.

I once ordered a shoe rack on a chinese site simular to temu.

After I assembled the plastic pieces I put 2 pairs of shoes on it and it broke down lol.

You get what you pay for. Support your economy instead.

Make sure you read the descriptions, dimensions, and reviews. A friend thought they were getting some patio furniture… they bought doll furniture instead lol

I mean, it isn't a scam, but the items are garb. They will pay you to buy trash, 100 dollars of it for what you described. And yea, it seems like a lot do try to pull a fast one over if you don't read the fine print. But you should do that regardless, with any purchase. ToS agreement, and reviews.

They were the main superbowl sponsor or at least it felt like it. I ordered some stuff from them a few months ago and it was okay. I own the smallest clamps on a construction site now.

Yes, it's China flooding the world with crapware. Some counties are already putting in place legislation to stop this, eg France.
