Budget: 1400$ Canadian
More specific use (what games, what programs): all games on 1080p
Planned time until purchase: 1 week
Do you need an Operating System?: yes
Do you have any specific preferred components?: no
Do you need a sound or wireless card?: no
Do you want stock cooling or do you plan on overclocking?: no idea
Do you need a monitor? mouse? keyboard?: no
Zip code/location? (Shipping costs): Montreal

Any help is appreciated looking to buy all parts from 1 online retailer I also prefer mid/large cases

can add 100-200$ if it improves the build alot.

You'll really suffer price:performance trying to buy from a single retailer unless they do price matching.

Windows ISO from Microsoft, can buy a key for $20 on multiple websites.

Can go to the local Canada Computers and ask what they can do.

Here's one I put together for you that's around 1700 usd but it'll handle any game @ ultra settings and 1080p.

You can bring the price down another 300-400$ usd by getting a cheaper ATX case, cheaper ATX psu, 1-2tb of storage instead of the 4tb of gen3 nvme I put down for ya, and swap to a dual fan 4070 instead of the triple fan one I picked out.

But this is all the current gen stuff at the mid tier minus the storage drive as gen3, gen4, gen5 you honestly won't tell a difference in 3000-7000more read write speeds unless you do a lot of file moving/compressing/decompressing etc but for video gaming any M.2 drive will suffice.

My advice is save up to $2k if possible. I just built one for my father in law in that range. Sub $2k I would recommend a console or a prebuilt HP Omen.

Actually thinking about waiting until the 5000 series to come out and I will put 5000$ towards a whole new setup including monitors.

My current pc I built in 2016 getting old as dirt.

Here you go something more cost effective in CAD, pretty nice ITX build for 1430ish CAD.

If you need to shave off another 100-200$, just drop from a platinum power supply to a gold one.
Drop from 2tb M.2 storage drive to 1tb or w/e storage amount makes you happy.(I have 6TB of M.2 drives cause I don't like uninstalling/reinstalling games)
If you don't mind ugly big cases, get an ATX one for around 50-70$. (same for power supply if you get an ATX case)
