The 2022 midterm result (+2.8% Republican vote margin) was larger than the GCB polling lead Republicans had going in, or to put it another way, Democrats did not beat their polling.

Trump did beat his polling in both 2016 and 2020, but he does not appear to need to do so this time around. He is beating Biden in virtually every swing state.
