Hey guys i have a computer i had built several years ago.
It has a
Geforce(i believe) 1060 6gb graphics
Fx 8350 processor
970 gaming mother board
2x 4 ddr3 2133s ram

It runs decent, I'm wondering if i get more ram will i run smoother in games, like for example i have been playing old ass warcraft 3, its not very smooth, i also have dropped out of games during big fights.

Also diablo 2 game takes a second to load in game, an when i enter tp's it takes a second to load (not horrible) but will more ram speed that up, or will it run some games at better fps/smoother?

Thanks

The easiest way to see what you need to upgrade is by using a hardware monitoring program, or by opening task manager and going to the Performance tab while ingame to see what has a high or 100% percentage usage. What kind of hard drive do you have? I assume you may need to upgrade to an SSD as well.

I have the same problem. I know for sure d2r slow door load is made by the programmers on purpose and can’t be changed by adding ram. I changed up my ram from 16 to 24 gb and have not notice anything faster because I have not play d2r. Ssd does load main screen quick but I installed my games on a second Hdd and the system still run the games well and quick at 16 gb ram.

Yeah im running a ssd, i just know i can create the game, people will join an be already at the wp before im in. D2r does run pretty solid, but i feel if i have a game updating or running a few background things it does slow down i feel.

Ah, sounds like it may be your processor or RAM that's struggling to keep up. Check out your usage in Task Manager and it'll point ya in the right direction
