I'm wearing the stupid backpack and oak trees aren't lasting 27 seconds before despawning
Are there special oak trees somewhere, or do I need to buy something, or is this broken content?

The wiki literally doesn't say shit about this or activating it.

You just cut trees along with other people and eventually events will spawn. You can join “forestry cc” or “roots” to find groups doing forestry content.

forestry cc runs a decent discord server with extensive info
just need to join the cc & ask for discord inv

also the tree lasts for 27 sec from first person that starts chopping it

Yeah, I was the only person cutting the tree. Started counting when I though it was no where near enough some oaks were down in 7-8 seconds.
Is the random event thing a group activity too? I eventually had the struggling sapling spawn, by the time I figured it out I realized even if I knew there was no way I was going to get the health bar to 100 before time ran out.

Wilderness slayer cave is fucked, logged in a little over an hour ago to complete a 10th task, was dumb enough to take the cannon out the first trip.
Didn't lose the cannon but was killed within 3-5 minutes 4 times in different worlds.
Also didn't know that much crap would drop in the wilderness slayer cave, anyway can't see why its that much of a hot spot only for losing gear every time you go out there in a really short amount of time.
Not worth going back, it was better before when you actually had a chance of doing your task there, really dumb idea to take a cannon out there, going to stop with wilderness slayer once I have the helmet unlocked.

i aint reading all that
there is a plugin on runelite that displays timer until tree depletes
also you can ditch your cannon in wildy if pker comes, can get free replacement from the dwarf guy you buy it from, just need to go through dialogue saying you lost cannon.
just take monk robes + weapon so you don't risk much


edit:
there is also a plugin called wilderness player alert & player indicator
also realized you most likely dont have wilderness diary done, so gl with the delayed teleport timer

nvm, that only applies to rev cave + boss caves
without hard wilderness diary, there is a 2 tick delay to teleports in those areas

Priff teaks for forestry is strong

Switched over to non wilderness slayer with the cannon, hit the smoldering stone drop 10-15 kills into my first task from Nieve.
Didn't have the frame of mind to take a screenshot while it was on the ground.
Sucks that offerings spell is locked behind a kingdom divided, some of the shit in this game is fucked up.
