That's great to hear. I'm looking forward to smooth FPS when I finally get everything setup.

I originally had a GTX 770 as well. Unfortunately it crapped out on me a couple years ago. My buddy gave me his old 1070 for free.

Yeah, I almost dropped down to an 850w. The parts came quicker than I thought and decided I didn't feel like returning it.

Man... I forgot how much of a pain in the ass that compatibility was for building a PC from scratch.
My $1500 budget became $2000+ real quick.

Apparently my Window 7 OS disc won't work because it's for Dell computers, and I can't even find a retail disc for Windows 10 for less than like $300.
And of course my CPU cooler didn't fit (BARELY)
I could have modified it slightly like I did with my current PC, but... meh.

Not only that, but trying to put my old parts into their original case became impossible because the graphics card that's in it now is way too big.
Hopefully I will have it up and running come next week.

Thanks for all the replies.

Don't buy a Windows Disc. If you have another PC, look up how to make a bootable Windows 10 installation USB. You would need Rufus(https://rufus.ie/en/) and a Windows 10 ISO(https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10). It's pretty simple and will save you $300 dollars

You use Windows Media Creation tool download, it creates the USB bootable for you. No need for third party sketch

Also, you can setup Windows 11 without logging into an online account, just takes some weird steps. Something like opening terminal at internet setup step, then typing out of box experience command. You'll still have to provide proper key at later date to get rid of water mark that may show

True, although most times i've used the media creation tool it hasn't worked for me. Rufus is very popular with IT folks though as it's useful for other images.
Win 11 you can just use test@test.com with any password and it'll skip the Microsoft Account portion and let you create a local account :)

I finally got it set up. Somehow I ran into zero issues while putting it together and the updating/setup of software.

It truly is night and day. Thanks again for your help guys.

Glad to hear! Be sure to change your refresh rate in display settings if you bought a monitor with higher than 60hz!

That was the first thing I did when I got the monitor. I'm currently playing Path of Exile. My FPS on my old rig was around 35-60 FPS in my hideout idle. Running maps I was always in the teens. Sometimes single digits.
Now I'm rocking 300-375 FPS in my hideout and 150-275 while doing juiced maps. It's actually insane how big of a difference there is between the two.
