The IIHF has had the most atrocious refereeing I have ever seen.

Why is the quality of officiating going down constantly? In every sport?

Lack of accountability, simple. That would insinuate something's wrong in the governing body and they obviously can't have that.

It's arrogant and disrespectful to the organizations, players and fans of sports. They are all doing the best they can, but get fucked by the mediocrity of their handlers.

They usually have officials from all over the world because they don't want officials calling their countries games and tbh it lowers the level of officiating.
but I think this year they said they were changing it so the experienced refs could would ref the semis/finals

its gotta be tough for a bunch of refs to come in and ref different set of rules but sometimes it can be pretty bad
