"Top 50: Too many topics in the top 50."

A normal user cant control that, it realy depends on how many ppl are using that same forum.

It would be eaiser in my opinion if they could implement something even a prompt error as a warning or something, then just close paid topics.

the user can ;) -- if you see you have 4 already, just don't create another topic. wait a bit!

wait a bit

15minutes per topic or 2 hours per topic depending on how many ppl are browsing that same section of the forum.

you are correct! the onus is on the user to abide by the rules and gauge the activity of that trading section

go to top 50, ctrl+f for search function and look for your username. since you are only allowed to have 4 topics in top50, this amount of searching is manageable i guess

Anybody can easily prevent violating the Top 50 rule by basically keeping in mind a principle to stop posting or bumping topics for a short period of time (at least an hour) after you've either posted or bumped 4 topics recently,

a safe way to not violate the top 50 rule as well as early bump rule at all is to stop bumping/posting new topics for 4 hours after you've recently done so, if you have a large amount of items or services to offer it is also a good habit to optimize your trades into a few topics (create a "shop" topic) instead of creating a topic per item.

Note there will be trading sections that don't get a lot of new posts thus will require you to wait a little longer before you can post in them again if you already have a bunch of topics posted in the section.

Feel free to drop me a PM if you have further questions about this rule.

you know that someone can bump anyone topics and report it in order to force it being closed.

A "shop topic" has char limits, and certain games a very complex.

Again imo it would be good if the user had some kind of prompt error (lets say early bump/ bumping / making new topics under that same rule "top 50: Too Many Topics In The Top 50.") instead of just closing paid topics.
