are you serious? wow. I literally thought this whole time a mediated trade was someone coming in game to do the trades. not just PM instructions. I don't see how people using a mediator can guarantee that someone doesn't scam. That makes no sense.

Ingame mediator isn't needed for a successful trade.

Seems like this would be easily solved by either trader just recording the transaction or taking screenshots.

It's much more versatile the way it is right now and reduces mediation queue times drastically not having to be in-game for trades.

Don't think this will ever happen. Mediating in-game just puts one more party in danger of getting a ban in games that don't allow external trading.

I think ppl mis understood my thread

Its just extra option to have “in game med”, not every transaction like 1-5 fg rune trade will have med, everything is still the same

I mean like just Its an option for a paid in person med. for ppl who have trust issues and no 1 is willing to go first

This is simply not needed, and here is why:

To complete a mediated trade, one person has to send FG to the mediator prior to receiving the item. The seller and the buyer have to both confirm a successful in-game trade before FG is released to the buyer.

Here are two bad scenarios which can theoretically happen:
- the buyer can claim they didn't receive the item. Their FG is anyway already with the mediator, so in the worst case the buyer will be trying to prove a scam which didn't happen, but their FG will be locked up until the matter is resolved. Good luck with that. Filling a fake Scammer Accusation will be super risky. The buyer-scammer doesn't know if the trade is recorded or screenshoted. He's risking his account in addition to the already paid FG.
- the seller can try to back out from the deal, and refuse to give the item. They won't get FG until both parties confirm a successful trade, so there is no benefit to the seller here. They can also falsely claim that the trade is complete, but it's very risky.
