I am interested in playing retail PVP, specifically ranked BGs, and would like to have a "one shot" type of character.

Currently I play a *Reckoning* paladin on classic and it has been a blast. The idea of playing classic with a melee shaman, an elemental shaman, or a destro lock seems very appealing. But I also want to experience ranked BGs, which don't exist (yet) in classic.

What can you guys recommend for retail that will one shot?

Probably Arcane or Fire mage.
Retail pvp is all 450 ilvl even playing field so one shotting people probably isn’t a common occurance.

I don’t retail pvp at all but I would assume that Fire/Arcane have the best ability to “one shot” people.

I need to talk to someone in the high levels of ranked retail pvp. Maybe blizz forums are a better choice? There have to be some high ranked nerds here......

With macros, probably mage or warrior.

Don’t really need to talk to anyone.
Mage is definitely the best opportunity to 1 shot.

Fire mage even tho he got nerfed a few days ago by 5% overall dmg. Still 1shot class.

Is a Destro lock still viable? Or did they nerf it? In classic it is nuts.

But honestly with no stun I feel like it is not the best one shot class

depends on you tbh.

you can kill people in a 3-4 second window with alot of classes - even with your ret.

I think a really 100 % - 0 % HP in 1-2 seconds is atm enhance shamy with lucky proccs + enemy does not press
