First of all. I think this is a clever update. Though many don't like it. You actually have to think now what char you use, what weapon and armor you use, do you want to solo? heal? be a tank or just high dmg. (ok, daggers are kinda buffed up but doesnt dex still have dimishing returns? and yea 50/50 is kinda weird, who would go str when dex give higher crit + more def)

Anyway, nice update. Makes us think and try out builds more, more options that you have to choose from. Not just pick whatever you want and use whatever you want aslong as it has high stats/ee and be the brainless click click zombie.


Okay, now to the problem that came up from the last down/fix or whatever.

We were nicely doing a 3 caster/2 melee group from 30-71 (I joined @ 30) and we were happily killing 9 mobs 2-3 sec all the way till 64. Obviously we all knew this can't go on and it didn't. It was mad and I'm glad that it's not like that anymore but now we've faced up another problem.

Now, the melees in our group left and here's what came up.







I know low actions but guess what, we had to rmk cause we were unable to kill 1 single mob. This happened again thats why all in town. Yes, ALL 3 of us shrined during the fight vs this 1 mob.
PS. It might have been just that 1 mob for an odd reason.. but it wasnt the ONLY time. We've rmk'd before cause we were unable to kill a mob. We also had to rmk cause unable to kill a mob with 3 casters + 1 melee.

Do you see where I am going? now I know casters need to be bit weaker when cata since now they can aoe dmg as they want.
[B]IMO it could be solved by nerfing the aoe dmg and leaving the single target dmg as it is normally. As it is now, I don't see any chances to spend time with my friends who happened to play caster this climb (I only got caster/heal gear anyway)[b].

What about new/poor players. Our gear isn't the best of the best but its still pretty decent but we can't do anything.

Soloing was fine, my max got back to almost 1.8k dmg and avg 600-700 (though it used to be a bit on the +700 side) so no complaints at all there! and we can see heals worked OK. Just that it leaves me wondering how can I play with my guildies/friends if they play caster? or if there is NO melee guys avaible and cant get full group. (who wants 3 healers in the same group anyway)

Correct me if I'm wrong and that if it's just temporary or something (or fixed while I wrote this). I just think that it's a bit mind boggling that I simply can't enjoy a game with my pals in the same group and am forced to solo or heal with melees.

Oh this is also only softcore. Might be unplayable in HC though everyone there solo's 90% of the time anywhere so guess its not that big of a problem.

It's 3:21 am and am @ 89% lvl 69. Am determined to MQ since made it all the way here. Solo time. :/

i would have expected each mob to be immune versus one or max 2 elements. but you had 3 different elements casting on it, and none of you dealt any damage...
if it is going to stay that way, pure casters are dead now

Fixed for you.

Next version will be a little smoother for this, but it's a temporary thing until then. Casters are still sicko-strong, so NN QQ.
