I see you put 3 whole eggs a day in meal plans for bulkers.
Everyone keeps telling me that 3 whole eggs a day = too much cholesterol?
Hello,
This is actually a HUGE issue that I see a lot of people asking about and getting it wrong all the time...please let me put this in huge text for everyone on here to see because this is VERY important:
CONSUMING CHOLESTEROL DOES NOT INCREASE YOUR CHOLESTEROL LEVELS Consuming too much saturated fat and not enough unsaturated fat causes fat deposits to get stuck in your blood vessels which attract cholesterol in the blood to get stuck and cause plaque buildup. The key is to watch the TYPES of fat you are eating and get a good ratio of saturated fats to unsaturated fats...here is the breakdown
Trans-Fats - AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!
Saturated Fats - Keep this figure at 1/2 or LESS of your unsaturated fat intake
Unsaturated Fats - Keep this figure at least 2x or MORE of your unsaturated fat intake
Example
0g trans fats
25g saturated fats
50g unsaturated fats
would be a good balance. Any more saturated fats with the same unsaturated fats would be bad. Any more unsaturated fats without any more saturated fats would be good.
Very basic, very simple.
