i cant imagine why itd say a random date like that.. usually they say december 31, 2010 since its the end of the year and they have no idea when its coming out

Gamestop knows as little as we do.
If you look at the Q&A video from GamesCom you will see that when the question did indeed came up, and you also will see that they still refuse to tell us and threw "when it's done" in the guys face.

I'm hoping for a preliminary release date on BlizzCon in october.
