Right but lets say theres alot of spam or really old stuff thats not relavent anymore.

I usually end up having to clean up the noteboxes when posts get outdated.

Then it's useless. Here's why:

If not all of it is spam/relevant, then you are deleting useful stuff if you delete everything.
If all of it is spam/irrelevant, then you can ignore it, and it'll be auto deleted by new posts that are not spam or are relevant.

Just recently my guild changed our notebox page from being for introductions so that now it is for our gear rental program. This suggestion would have been useful to delete all the posts in the old topic (because I'm too poor to afford a brand new page) instead of going through and doing it one by one.

I think that it would really only be useful for re-vamping notebox topics, but in that area it would be a lifesaver for 100+ post topics.

I think Paul's point is that this suggestion may lead to people in the future wanting to recover old posts which they accidentally deleted, which will just lead to more of a hassle. I still voted yes, only because I know how much spam occurs in Classic's guild chat and many other guild chats. I should have voted no in all honesty, but I know this won't be passed; it won't matter.
