I have a 2wire wireless router for att u-verse that is just not good. (No n-connectivity/poor range etc) Through work I got an epic deal on a Netgear WNDR3700 and I would much rather use that.
There is no DSL port on the netgear. If someone can walk me through how to turn off the wireless or something on the 2wire and use it basically as a modem and use the netgear as my wireless router I will donate some fg.

you should simply be able to connect the netgear to the 2 wire and connect to the netgear's wifi. it's kinda redundant, but i'm pretty sure it will work.
not 100% sure though

to turn off the wireless you'll need to access your router
open command prompt and type in /ipconfig
the default gateway ip is the routers address. type this in the address bar in your internet browser and it will take you to the routers login page.
you'll need to google 2wires default login stuff for the account/password.
once there it should have a section about wireless to click on and then just turn it off.

the basic ipconfig command contains the default gateway address as well.

It is a 2wire 3800hgv-b, I do not know if putting it into bridge mode is possible.

err actually it looks like you just turn off dhcp on your netgear, give the netgear a static Ip address such as 192.168.1.10, and then turn off wireless on your 2wire.
