This entire thread has given me 3 types of cancer... but this post in particular made me think about hitting the fucking bottle... There was a while where I was working with a private data-collection company that used high-grade equipment to monitor road surfaces. We used really high-tech stuff, but it came unconfigured, as most/all equipment does when you aren't buying consumer goods. When we had to program the accelerometers, you had to be careful to remember to factor in gravity, or else you would get back from a day of data-collecting and have jack-all to show for it because none of it was any good since the un-accounted-for force of gravity mucked up the data. Accelerometers and your iPhone ARE programmed to include gravity in their calculations, and that's why you don't see a constant "1" on the detecting gyroscopes. It's already been accounted for because they assume that the majority of their customers aren't retards.

what a complete load of bullshit...........how long did it take to make this story up?

I'm pretty sure tard_sultan is smarter than Chivas.

Not that that says very much.

says someone who doesn't understand optical perspective and has never done the experiment...

I understand perspective very well. I have never done this experiment personally because I simply don't have the equipment to do it. And what experiments have you done lately?
Show me a single video of an object that's partially below the horizon being brought back into full view with more powerful optics.

Eh I put my money on CHivas with respect to intelligence mostly because he simply doesn't bother with arguing. It takes wisdom to do that :p

So I remember reading a few dozen pages ago that for this theory to work the Earth can only be so old. How does a flat-earther explain the time it takes for uranium-238 to fall apart into other elements? One can easily extrapolate earth's age using that. The only viable theory for this to be untrue is if all the uranium on Earth was "imported" from space and perfectly spread out through nature.

Shit, flat earthers are gonna bring deities into this now.. >.< sorry
