Does the %Fire Damage from facets help when you chant others?

Is there a reason to have -Fire Res form facets if you are chanting others and not helping them?

The -enemy fire resist % only helps you against the creatures you attack
And yes, the +fire damage% from mastery or facets helps chant casts on anyone.

in addition, any enhanced fire damage they have on gear will boost the fire damage they deal as well; applies twice for non-ranged attacks
