Hello :)

So I decided to come back to Diablo 2 after seeing the ladder had been reset and decided that I was going to try something that I had never done in the years I've played Diablo 2 - A Kicksin.

Right now I'm leveling her up and have her Dragon Talon almost maxed. I was wondering where I should go from there. I've been told specifically that Venom and Death Sentry are two big skills to get and to try and get Crushing Blow so my kicks are better.

Any suggestions besides those that I've received, let me know :)

venom is a waste of points; I'd put another 17 in fireblast before venom.
pump lightning sentry too
cloak of shadows is your saving grace if you're under-equipped (1 point is win)
a burst of speed centered build will be more fun than a fade oriented setup; though fade might be necessary if under-equipped

essentially a trapper with maxed dtalon and heavy boots is the most powerful way to play her; drop 5 death sentry and then kick the shit out of stuff that gets close

upg gores > all

weapon shield > claw/claw
I'm a fan of the lawbringer build; though you need a strong merc (or high trap damage) to get the killshot to start the CE train
some people like things like lacerators, stormlash, or even a silly rift in the weapon slot

for leveling up max DS first, and you can start maxing out LS as well as kick/trap works very well for pvm

gearwise make sure you stay on top of highest kick damage boots, and you should be fine til the endgame

get a guillaumes asap, orphans set is optional if you want a cheap tweak along the way to get to the endgame easy,
between guillaume's + gores you should be set on cb%, more is optional
stormlash is a great endgame weapon but has a level 82 req. crescent moon pb is like a mini-stormlash that will carry you to that level and does the same with static.
drac gloves are godmode in pvm
1 point cloak of shadows is godmode in pvm
1 point venom is cool cause why not

some optional notes for endgame: (you can get through the game with far less/basic stuff)
-enigma >>>> fort > duress
-"spare" skill points are always good to synergize LS with after you complete your core build
-dtalon does not need to be maxed, up to you how many kicks you want in a burst
-cta in inv leaves you open for weapon switching
-azure/lawbringer can break PI
-pheonix can rep life but you want corpses for DS, pheonix on switch lets you control that however
-infinity merc makes everything ezmode
-even though you don't need much fcr for pvm, you do want at least *some fcr* to help teleport/cloak/mb
-if you want you can respec without dflight once you can equip enigma, put those skill points to better use
-other variations such as a riftsin, or dream kicksin do exist, and some other variations of kick or kick/trap, look up how those specific builds are made but careful about putting all your eggs in a basket since LI+PI is somewhat common.
-fuck you lastwish

have fun with your pvm kicksin

there are so many ways u can build a kicksin... thats what I like about this char.

It's all about ur preferences - pure kick , kick + blade fury, kick + death sentry (gz combo), kick/trapper (whether light or fire..),

Well builded kick/trapper can solo 8players games with decent killspeed, but its impossible to get items like eni or stormlash at the beginning of the ladder...

tell us which build do u prefer and will be able to narrow our suggestions

I'm putting together a rather comparative Uber/Pvm kicker with these (cheap!) items:

Equipment

Weapon: Wizardspike - Shael'd
Shield: Storm - Um'd
Helm: Guillaume's Face - 15% ias jewel
Armor: Duress
Gloves: Dracul's Grasp
Boots: Goblin Toe's - Double upgraded
Belt: Thundergod's Vigor
Amulet: Metalgrid
Ring1: Raven Frost
Ring2: Wisp Projector
Inventory: LR/LL/Vita Sc's + Shadow skillers + Anni (My inventory still has alot of space for the time being ^_^ )

Planned core skill setup
Fade: 20 hardpoints
Death Sentry: 20 hardpoints
Dragon Talon: 20 hardpoints
Mind Blast: 10-20 hardpoints
Shadow Warrior/Shadow Master: 20 hardpoints

- - - -

As you can see this is a straight Uber setup.
For general Pvm I'd swap the Wizardspike vs. Crescent Moon Phase Blade (cheaper then most of the kicksin weapons! )

My biggest problem with this skill setup is whether to go for max Shadow Master or Shadow Warrior!
Don't know how important the Shadow is in Uber Tristram, were my choice would be the Shadow Master.
Outside Uber Tristram I'm leaning towards the Shadow Warrior, were I would have much more controll of her gameplay/actions. Hmm...

Feel free to be inspired or to criticise my project and good luck to you and your kicksin, they rule! :D

Seems nice. Death sentry is bit of a waste of points if you are only doing ubers tho
