Mainly there are two kinds: FFA and AoW.

I believe you aim for the second one. Let me know, I will write down some lines here later!

hi darkal, yes i mean the AoW one =) but to play for fun on pubs and funs 1v1, not on leage.

duel of two barbs with block and incredibly high def is a total opposition of the word 'fun'.

Anyway, mainly there are three builds and obviously several sub variants of these.

- Enigma build. You reach 43% dr wearing enigma + stormshield. Rare belt, gores, steels, botd, angelic and a 5 bo visio helm.

- Rare armor build. You reach 45% dr wearing a rare armor (or some uniques upg as black hades, arkaine etc) + 10% Dr dungo. Gores, steels, botd, angelic and stat visio diadem.

- Shafstop build. You reach 45% dr wearing eth upg shafstop + 15% dr dungo. Gores, steels, botd, angelic, 5 bo visio helm and jmod.

As I wrote there are variants.

You may prefer to use a combo of raven + craft/rare ring and highlord, holding a fool's blade.

You may prefer to use a rare sacred armor with diadem or a rare lighter armor with a helm.

You may prefer to use a rare high def shield instead of jmod on your shafstop build.

You may prefer crafted high def gloves that help you to save stats.


But I also see you are asking for a quite cheap and doable build. So here what I suggest to you is to go for enigma build. Is the easiest to do.

Armor - Enigma AP

Weapon - Botd Ba/Cb

Gloves - Steels

Boots - Gores upg

Belt - Rare 24% fhr, high def, str, life

Shield - Storm socked ed/stats jewel. I'd suggest something with 9 dex.

Helm - Visio 5 bo. You can find solid and simple ones for a fair price. Socked as storm.

Jewelry - Angelic Halo

Inventory - 3/1x/20 and/or 10/7x/4x and/or 2-3 masteries skillers (these are "ok" in case you want to save on inv, don't use more than 3-4).

In case you don't use raven, make sure to have 1 sc with cold dmg.

You can also go for upg/eth upg arreat instead of the visio. Make sure to compensate a bit using ar/life scs. Your ar shouldn't be below 23k ar (no ench, ofc).
