Alas the perpetual stupidity has motivated me to explain this to you noobs.

Let's do the simple math shall we?

Assuming you have maxed Cyclone Armor, Twister, Nado, and Hurrican and only wear this helmet...

+ 6 Nado Helmet = 2796 Max Dmg vs. + 2 Helmet = 2156 Max Dmg

Now Let us Apply the PvP Penalty:

2796/6 = 466 vs. 2156/6 = 359

What is the difference Between 4 Skill Points then?

466 - 359 = 107 Dmg (you will find that this is a constant)

Let Us Now Look at how this effects Oak Sage

A Level 20 Oak Sage = 125% Life
A Level 22 Oak Sage = 135% Life

So What Happens if you have 1000 Base Life?

Level 20 Oak Sage would give you: 1000 x 1.25 = 1250
Level 22 Oak Sage would give you: 1000 x 1.35 = 1350

1350 - 1250 = 100

What does this mean?

This means that you have 100 Less Life using a 6 nado helmet and you do 107 more dmg

107 must be subtracted from 100 because that is the difference between your damage and your ability to sustain dmg.

107-100 = 7

The 6 Nado helm gives you a 7 unit Life advantage assuming that you always do max dmg (it is less or even negative if you do less then max dmg.)
note that having more then 1000 base life will decrease your 7 life advantage and having less then 1000 base life will increase it.

Let us further Analyze the Disadvantages of a 6 Nado helmet:

Assume you wear Perfect Spirit, 2x 10% fcr Rings, a 20% Fcr Ammy, Arach, Magefist, and Hoto

The cast rate for each of these items is respectively as follows:

35, 10, 10, 20, 20, 20, 40

The sum total of cast rate = 155

But you require 163 FCR to be effective on a druid.

Since there isn't 20% fcr on the helmet you must replace HOTO with Wiz Spike.

Hoto has 3 Skills on it. Wiz Spike has Zero.

So effectively the extra 3 skills from the 6 nado helm are lost when you replace HOTO with Wiz spike.

The total amount of skill adds is effectively reduced to 3 when attempting to achieve 163% Fcr.

Finally Let us consider Jalal's

2 Skills (remember the advantage lost between 6 and 2 is 7 life)

And it should be obvious why the following mods are extremely Godly...

30% FHR
30 RES All
30 STR

To Conclude:

Helmets worth using on your wind druid include:

1) Jalal's
2) Shako
3) 2-20-2
4) 3-20-2

Helmets that = fail include:

1) + 6 Nado
2) Tal Rashes Helm
3) Peasant Crown War Har
4) Gaze

why is a 5 nado pelt not in this calculation? it would for me be the first thing to compare to a 6 nado pelt. assuming you did the right math (dunno), a 5 nado pelt has just a small dmg loss compared to a 6 nado one and adds additional life from oak since its possible to spawn with 2 druid

and circs like 2 druid 20fcr adds are not that easy to compare with pelts since they open up other builds i.e. hoto for 163 fcr

Ok well I will quickly analyze this for you:

+2 Skills and + 3 Nado = 2636 Max Dmg

+ 2 Skills = 2156 Max Dmg

2636/6 = 439 vs. 2156/6 = 359

The Difference is:

439 - 359 = 80

Shako (at level 99) gives you an additional 148 life or 135 at level 90 if you prefer

80 - 135 = -55

This means that your damage increased vs your ability to sustain dmg is -55 when wearing a +2 + 3 druid pelt compared to shako at level 90

Oak sage will multiple this number (-55) accordingly to its level.

Some will contend that life based on clevel is not "bo-able" life. This is false. And the Bo will multiply the -55.

So your total disadvantage with a +2 +3 vs shako at level 90 is -55 time oak sage percentage times battle orders percentage.

This doesnt take into account the DR vs. Phy Dmg attacks which also will increase your life advantage, and in turn your Dmg vs Dmg Sustainability advantage.

Life based on clevel is NOT "bo-able" life.

you didnt take into account that a pelt can have base life. you also didnt take into account that a shako has 1 possible sock while pelt has 2. shako has 10% dr though. also I think life/lvl isnt boable.

Like I just said. This is false.

Go put a shako on. Look at your life. Then BO. Look at your life. Do the math. You will find that the BO did in fact apply itself to the life based on cLvL derived from shako.

Anyways. Your argument is mute, as I have already pointed out that shako gives you a 55 unit life advantage before BO and Oak Sage at lvl 90 compared to a +2 + 3 Pelt.

it would have to be more then 55; and also you are correct that it doesn't take into account DR. Which is a reoccurring life bonus vs phy dmg. Pretend your opponent does 6k physical dmg. Everytime you get hit you will "gain" and additional 100 life in theory.

and it is boable. go try it.

watch this magic logic:

when oak dies, you lose all the +life you got from it. oak dies before you get hit from any pvp attack. therefore you never get the bonus life oak gives, like 9 times out of 10
so a little bit more damage > +oak that does nothing
