Lets say ur at 50% dr and u get amp'd (100% increased damg)

now, are u at 50% increase or 100% regardless of dr?

You have 50% dr
You get amped, which lowers dr by 100%
You have -50% dr

You effectively take triple damage

You have 0% dr
You get amped, which lowers dr by 100%
You have -100% dr

You effectively take double damage.

dr% is physical resist and amp is -100 physical resist

damage taken from crushing blow = min(max(1 + (% from amp/decrep) - (%DR),0),1) * (% of HP from CB) * current HP

if you have -100% dr, then you take 2x dmg - this part was right.

if you have -50% dr, then you take 1.5x dmg ! not a tripple aka 3x.

No you're basing your calculations on a starting value of 0% physical resistance, this isn't the case in Worrywart's first example, you conveniently left that out to manipulate the math

If you get hit with 100 damage then 50% DR reduces this to 50, if you have -50% DR the damage taken will be 150, as you can see Amplify Damage on a target with 50% physical resistance triples damage

an interesting thing is that all ppl in this topic are right

minor misunderstanding came due to translation troubles...

100 and 150... so its *1.5 multiplier as arhi told (he means hit power of monsters, not actual dmg)
