yes u can get one more sock by using the meph-sock method

kill meph - sell all drops to charsi

sell helm to charsi

and u can now buy it back with 2-3 sockets in it

Once an item is socketed through any means, there are no ways to remove that socket or add more sockets. There are ways to effectively destroy that item, but that is about it.
Only killerdreams can make 1 socketed rare axes become 2 socketed rare axes.
