3 steps for spam free diablo 2. Fight the spam.

Step 1: type /ignorepersist and make sure it says "enabled".

Step 2: type /filtermsg *InsertWordHere* .
(each word you add, is permenently added to a filter, which from then on will block the entire line of text from apearing on screen ingame, if anyone uses a word that is designated filtered)

Step 3: type /unfiltermsg *InsertWordHere* to remove a word from your filter list.

OR alternativly you can edit the .txt doc like so,

In your d2 directory, there is a file labeled "ignorelist" This file can be opened with notepad++
and once u open it you will see a list of words you designated to be filtered. All you need to do is delete unwanted words from the list and save/exit.

I would like to add to this, that if you use a persons account name or character name as the filter word, they will be permanently squelched.
If anyone cannot figure this out, pm me and ill meet you ingame to further explain how the ingame filter system works.

Needs updated list.

I am not aloud to update the lists.

I have tried, they keep temp-banning me when i do, apparently putting a list together nowadays is violating the rules and is considered about as bad as sharing third party software.

Several different mods, who shall not be named told me that people have to use the lists from like 10 years ago, OR add the new words themselves manually.

There is no other choices offered by the sites administration, so far.
