ive heard time and again that grief > all other weapons, but where is the proof?

i plan to use with one handed whirlwind and fort

how is this true damage calculated with deadly strike?

the reason i am asking this is death cleaver has an extra -8% target defense which can obviously mean a lot


once i have this foruma ill write a basic calculating script to see how effective 35 ds with grief is vs 81 ds with death cleaver in relation to overall damages several hundred times

We've been all through this before in S&G
I ran a test thread myself on this topic, Grief vs. EDC
Long story short ~ EDC doesn't even begin to compare to the damage that Grief deals

The biggest reason for this is that Grief's damage hit's it's solid high ass average constantly, there is no fluxuation from min to max
An EDC can slide between it's low hits or high hits but a Grief always hits high

I'd go hunt for the thread and post a link here for you to read but it's really unnecessary
Anyone who's toyed with barb builds is going to tell you the same thing

lold at all these people, where is the undeniable mathematical proof?

and if you read im not concerned about having greater min/consistent damage and i could care less about what "everyone" uses

open wounds is what does and always will do the effective damages


just saying that grief > edc without proof (like any claim in the real world) makes you look and sound like a fool


as always i will sit down with pen and paper myself and come to my own conclusions

grief av dmg = 454. with 20ds, 544
so grief is better.

note the ds calculation is wrong, and is highly in favor of edc. and grief is still better.
