====== The Bearzon ======

1. This build is a pure melee build, its based on the incredible passive & Magic skills of the amazon which give the character a huge advantage vs almost every melee character
2. The build is very easy to duel with, since the strategy is the same vs every melee character that you face
3. This is a fairly expensive build, because it is based on some of the more expensive runewords of the game


Skills

Because of this being a very special build you do not need to be high-level in order to get the needed skillpoints and there are no pre-req skills

Offensive Skills

Critical Strike - 20 (This vill give your Bearzon a high chance of doing double the damage of you usual attack)

Penetrade - 20 (This increases your attack rating, which will increase your chance of hitting your opponent)

***Inner Sight*** - 20 (if choosing a pure melee build this is a very strong skill, since it will lower your enemy's defense by a relatively high amount and can be the reason for your success)


Deffensive skills

These are the skills that makes the Bearzon so (annoying) to be up against, the advantage of these skills are that you can do a full duel without getting hit once. the disadvantage is the chance of being hit, which can get u killed in 2-3 hits if it's just not your day…

Dodge - 20 (Gives your character a high chance of "dodging" a melee attack while you are standing still)

Evade - 20 (Gives your character a high chance of dodging a melee attack while you are moving, which is very effective vs ww-barb)

***Avoid*** - 20 (this is also a very effective skill, but will only grant you the dodging ability vs missiles (arrows/fireball/etc.) and will therefore be unnecessary if your build is not meant to duel casters/bowama)

when choosing which build to go for, i would advise you to choose weather your focus is on pure melee (then go for inner sight) or vs all (then go for avoid). if choosing a build vs all then be aware that you are not able to teleport, which will give you a HUGE disadvantage vs eg bone necro


Stats

you can choose two types here

maxblock
str - enough for eq
dex - enough for maxblock (will also increase your attack rating)
vita - est
energy - your a melee char ffs! don't even look her NAP!

Damage + extra life
str - enough for eq
dex - none
vita - rest
energy - i said not to look… doh…

(one could argue that this is a bad option, and i would agree, but keep in mind that dodge, evade and avoid gives you some sort of block already, and your higher dmg will end your opponent a lot faster and meanwhile you will get a lot more life, which is a bit of a lack in this build)


Equipment

Now this is the fun part…

Use this lint to calculate your fhr/ias, because this is a very tweakable build and there is no "best way" of doing this

But i will give you a guideline of what eq you could use


Weapons

Botd phaseblade / EBotd Berserker axe / Grief (i haven't used grief yet, might be a better choice but remember that when using critical strike along with crushing blow, they do not always get along...)

(yes i know pb dmg sucks and ba is WAY BETTAA!!! but if you take a look at the link i gave you, you will see that a ba with 60 ias gets you a 8 frame bp and with pb you get a 5 frame bp, but ill leave it up to you)

If your rich and can afford a godly rare weapon i would advise you to go for a 40 ias 300+ ed 2 os phaseblade and suck it with shael + 15/40 jew. this will get you a pb with 75 ias which is needed to hit a 4 frame bp (damn thats a fast teddy)

on switch

Beast (can be in any 5 soc 1 hand axe/scepter/hammer, it does not matter, since you do not hit with this weapon)

(WOOOOTT!!! WHY NO CTA!! FUCK THIS BUILD MAN!!!…. Relax… this is the main part of the build, you will gain both life and damage from the bear skill, but if your a bad bad man, then you can have a cta in stash to precast)

Shield

Stormshield socked with whatever you want (could be a cham, but depends on your choice of jewelry)
Phoenix (you need a lot of dex to get max block, but your damage will increase a lot, if you choose phoenix then you need a dual ber'd high dr coa as helmet, since you loose 35 dr from stormshield)

on switch

spirit monarch (this is to get a higher level bear = more life + dmg and a higher bo if you cheat and use cta ;) )


Armor

Fortitude (gives you a much higher dmg)
Eth upped and zod' Shaft (if your more interested in using ur 2k+ fg viso helm with phoenix and need the dr + liking the higher def)


Gloves

2 p&m 20 ias + mods rare gloves


Boots

Shadow dancer (I LOLD!!! WHY NO TREKS/GORES!!!… you need the fhr and the dex to get maxblock… these boots are awesome!)

Some rare frw/Fhr/Stat boots...


Belt

Dungo - 15 dr


Helm

This is probably the most tweakable thing about this build, choose whatever suits your build, but here are some suggestions

3 soc 30 frw socked with 3x 15 max/40 ed jewel or 15 ias/40 ed jewel (if ias is needed)

Coa with 2x 15 max/40 ed or 15 ias/40 ed or 2x ber(this also give you a chance to use a 24 fhr + stat belt instead of dungo or use phoenix as shield)

Vampire Gaze (this also give you a chance to use a 24 fhr + stat belt instead of dungo)

Andys face (yes 2 skills 20 ias and a lot of life leech)

some gozu viso helm (but you already have A LOT of attack rating)


Rings and Amu

1. dual angelics with amu (gives you a massive attack rating boost, but you have a lot already)

1. ravenfrost 20 dex + gozu stat ring + gozu 2 ama + stats + life amu/cat's eye*/Metalgrid**/The Mahim-Oak Curio***

*frw + defense + dex (ias can in some cases be needed but depends on your choice of weapon)
**Attack rating + defense (res can be a good thing if you choose a vs all build)
*** defense + enhanced defense + 10% bonus to attack rating + resist + 10 attributes (lol this isn't that bad an amulet)

Charms

Ama Torch
Anni

if your going pure melee

this is the part where you can tweak all of your eq to fit each other

if lacking fhr, get fhr/max/ar charms until u reach 86 fhr (6th frame) or even 152 fhr(5th frame)

or else stack her up with some max/ar/life scs


if your going vs all

try to fit in some frw/max/ar scs, you need your speed to catch your enemy since you cant use enigma


Strategy

Now this is the part where you really have to pay attention…

pure melee (make sure you walk at all times!!!)

1. say go while using switch
2. when your enemy is in rage, cast your inner sight
3. quickly transform into bearform
4. put your mouse onto your enemy and close your eyes and pray…

vs all

1. say go
2. transform into bear
3. click and kill the bastard (if facing some caster/bowazon then use run instead of walk, or else you wont ever catch them)

ok this fail is now done in like 5threads in 2days

fact 1: your dmg output sux, even more if enemy has %dr
fact 2: you'll lose vs caster
fact 3: other bear chars are better

from what ive seen in other forums, this char is mostly PvM. for that i think it would be interesting. not for pvp though.

fact 1. this build also have dr, and your dmg output is low, i agree but with critical strike it improves...
fact 2. this is as stated a melee build, and yes you will most often loose vs caster, i have however several time beaten a caster (i only do pvp on project duel server)
fact 3. like? you have higher ar and alot higher chance to block... do it right and you will only get hit a very few times...

i have not tested in PvM, but feel free... i found the build so much more fun in PvP than using the regular hammer/druid/fire sorc

i have not tested in PvM, but feel free... i found the build so much more fun in PvP than using the regular hammer/druid/fire sorc

based on not gettin hit and not dealing any kind of viable pvp dmg.

a quick hero editor gave me these stats



and with a 72 percent critical strike then 3/4th of the time ull do 3886-13698 dmg

only two real viable weapons for a bearzon: grief pb (must be pb) and griz caddy with ias jewels to reach 95%ias. (5frame vs 4 frame) (although i do like 6soc phaseblade with 1x shael 5x 15ias/100ar)

why no nigma? str + r/w vs casters. also where i would suggest 4fpa to lock.
also a gangel might be fun vs casters too!

also please cube cast bo
