So recently heard that there is a glitch with deadly strike that causes it to automatically double the Maximum dmg, rather than just double the damage that is rolled.

Example:
You do 1-10 dmg and you have 100% DS. You roll a 4, instead of getting 8 dmg, the glitch automatically doubles the max dmg of 10 giving you 20 dmg.

In theory if you had 100% DS you would get 20 dmg, every time.

Any facts to this or just another stupid d2 myth?

i found a couple forums and websites that talk about this, but in one of them they are also talking about how psn cancels out critical strike, so yeah im not to convinced lol


Im thinking of getting like a cleglaws sword + gores + hl for 100% ds. If its true the dmg i do wouldnt vary, would basically 19*2 every single hit.

Doubled minimum and maximum (Average) damage.

1-10 *100%DS = 2-20 (Average: 11)

I've heard the myth before, but yeh think it's a load of crap.

yeah, appears to be what everyone is saying. What a bummer!

Fake, Slap on an edc and a highlords and hit someone a few times. You will notice it doesn't do the exact same amount of damage each time.
