Hi Folks,

I come from Diablo II on these forums and looking to get into Tibia, I think it would be quite an awesome game to get into but I'm still not sure on a few things and hopefully you can help me out.

What would you say is... if not the best, one of the best classes to play? (I normally play Sorc on other MMO's, Sorc fan but Knight/Paladin sounds good on here?)\

Is there a top few servers to go for or they all the same? referring to population ofc.

If anyone can help me get started, point me in the right direction on here or help in game it would be greatly appreciated.

First of all to know what class you want to play you need understand your play style.
If you like to hunt solo most of the time go pally. If you are more into typical blocker group hunts and don't mind grinding go knight.
Now, when it comes to mages you have a couple options. A druid is the best mage right now because of the heal capabilities. So if you want to get a group quickly to hunt with other people play druid.
Sorc is a really good class too but it just can't heal and that sets it back a ways.

Depending on you nationality can really depend on which server you should play and whether or not you want a PvP server or a non-PvP server. The death penalty really discourages a lot of people (but it's why some of us like it) from playing this game so if you don't like a death penalty I highly suggest going to a non-PvP world. If your american I would suggest hiding out in Non-PvP world like the rest of us have.
