Hello.
I have a level 24 samurai on hardcore where it is hard to find catacombs games and I have bad gear.
All I have basically is a level 1, 5 and 10 sword, but I'm currently level 23...
I have no fg to buy better gear so I am basically doomed
Anyway, I was wondering if it is worth rerolling my character several times to train in arena from level 1-15 and get sword proficiency up as well as a chance of getting something good (I've never picked up an item worth over 5fg).
Do you think it is worth rerolling several times?

seeing you have some swords and things it isn't a bad idea. Keep selling items (as many as you can really! :P) and keep picking up the odd 1 fg here and there.
When you get a good 20 fg you can afford a new decent ee sword, this will let you climb higher :P.

Upgrading proficiency is rarely a bad idea, although remember, it's only 1% ee per level so it's not going to be huge, the main reason should be getting some fg.
Generally, if you cannot kill 2 monsters in a row it may be time for new equip/reroll when you don't have much fg (or when you get bored of how slow it is!)

I REALLY suggest you get a muling character, it's absolutely free to move items across, so put items you arn't currently using on another character and move them across when you need them, lets you hold more items which you can shrine/sell.

Remember, the main idea of a reroll is to gain fg so on the next climb you can get further. If you change sword at say 1/5/10/15/25/35/45/55 and a few armour/charm changes, i expect you can make it to mq with under 200 fg solo. (i.e you won't need cata).

currently spent 80 fg on my barb which is climbing as well (bought magic luck because it was cheap and gives an incy chance of finding better items)

This is what I did on SC...
Started this idea around June this year
Now Rank20 Sword... (did not do first MQ until rank15)

Test character @ certain levels with your gear on... WELLING... but only @ level 10 with TierIII items.
Be warned... it is not nice to die there...

I know what you mean...
I was welling at level 1 with only 100 life and it hit a 42 on me!!!
I went from 63 to 21 life and I clicked escape really quickly I was lucky to have survived that...

I'll tell you what's worth doing .. Making a few other characters so you don't have to hold all your gear on the one guy.
That way, if you die, you only lose what's on your climber. Just use the marketplace transfer function to send gear to your other chars once they're made.

Rerolling is up to you. Personally I'd just keep grinding it out and maybe climbing other chars in the low levels if you're making fg selling 1fg items.

I don't intend to die.
I have 4 fishing profiency (almost 5) and I really value my samurai.
I've only ever done 1 master quest and I was successful on it.
That character means a lot to me so if I die I won't care at all for my swords, I'll be sad I lost my proficiencies and my samurai...
