You can't really plan out a build without knowing what your end game gear is.

Since you don't know what you should be aiming for =\ I always put in my stats based on my 55 gear.

If you have to do it as you go along chances are you'll screw up somehow but hopefully only a little.

Good luck imo

This in a sense...
If you have FORWARD thinking... then you can build on what you want to achieve.
So... if you look at the prices of Stat items on MP and compare those to Trade section... you can create your build easily.
So... if Dexterity items are cheapest... you can easily build on those stat items and place points into STR/VITA... also get EE items
So... if Strength items are cheapest... you do the reverse...

It is forward thinking... the best tank is not cheap... because they take into account all aspects
Dex = Defense vs Crits (and enhances your characters Crit hits)
Int = Defense vs Magical attacks (and enhances healing powers if you go semi-hybrid build)
Str = Good enough damage to be kept in catacombs
EE = simple physical defense on armors and also for your characters damage
Vit = simply put... first 5 points here helps in 2 ways.. more life / 4% EE defense

Problem with that is if you don't take into account the items you'll be using up till then as well you could easily over stat one stat and not have the gear for the coming levels to balance it out and that will leave you pretty handicapped and making those levels really rough.

Not saying its not possible to do this just saying you're going to have a hard first time if you can't afford to invest more than 114 FG in your tank barb build.

My first char was a tank barb and boy did I screw that thing up I don't think I made it passed 35 (There was no catacombs back then)

Hence why I say good luck and its going to be a hard climb.

True... you can stuff things up...

I have not been playing for that long... since May-June this year... I started with 15fg and barb build.
Had no stat gear... built it all based on pumping DEX... but... I re-rolled my character many times @ level 25-35
because I had nothing... but I also mainly did Arena... luckily as I was grinding up... I got items to sell off and to
buy some upgrades... then was able to well items in-between and get better items eventually (still Re-rolling)

It is hard with little fg... but I found out later that if I used forward thinking... I could have done it alot easier.
Even to this day... I use my level 20 charm all the way to MQ... and before that... I use to use my level 10 charm
all the way to MQ

TierV = 22 Str / 258 life <-- Welled item with Barb
TierVII = 34 Str (only found this one like a month ago)

With any of those 2 charms... I did not get stuck with my build.
Even today... I use 34str with Monk up until I MQ
