i do something similar but i need more stats on my ninja robe
stats to int reap more benefit than any other stat type when added the others can be factored in which in theory can give you as much killing power as stating them with also the advantage of limited dmg received and the ability to heal to a high degree.
it works very well but is very hard to balance too and upon a robe user i have not managed it as yet.
as to cats? the sammy version works in a
team on nonmaze but useless pub. main advantage is the huge ammount of dmg received which is negated if the team takes no advantage then he is a lesser char to classic nad/mj melee builds.
in maze this type of char is awesome as you can heal enough per lvl with the right gear and the right team and you can deal decent damage too. sammy was nearly self sufficient in maze was little tha could stand in the way save evil pressence.
with int on your eq too you dont have to stat int so high unless you are determined to 0 chain. base 50 can work ok but is dangerous unless your gear set up is prepared for it as if balance fails the build becomes hopelessly inadaquate. found it to be a real knife edge between sweet clear sailing and terrible grinding.
all in all though i love to see someone out there realising this is ls2 not 1. that cs does not = 2 dex and that there are many more ways to build a complete and very competant charecter than the ideas mooted back in the day when there were more people interested in creating than copying
