There's quite a debate ongoing with regard to this issue about WW damage,
and over thirty people have participated in this poll.

Poll-> http://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=65086715&f=68&o=20

The conclusion from the poll is that we don't really know the real answer.

Hence, I have decided to test out the actual damage of ww through the use of
two different methods in killing Azmodan at MP10: (using both WW & RLTW Versus Only RLTW)

I am a Dual Wield Barb with around 285k (with SOJ) Buffed DPS.

Using the time taken to kill Azmodan will be the most accurate way to find out the proportion of damage from WW.
Of course there will still be some variance which is insignificant. (some hits not landing as intended, ww starting later, etc)

These are my results:
Time taken to kill Azmodan using Both WW & RLTW (time taken from the first Hit)
1m 45secs

Time taken to kill Azmodan using only RLTW (time taken from the first Hit)
2m 30secs

From this results, we could see that ww Damage actually reduces the time taken to kill Azmodan by 45secs, which is 30% faster.
In conclusion, ww damage contributes more than 30% of the damage output. My initial opinion that ww only contribute less than 20% of damage output was wrong. Pls bear in mind that when doing this test, I'm using a much lower Dps Offhand in relation to my Mainhand. Hence the 30% damage output is more of an underestimation. Skorn Barb or DW barb with similar MH & OH dps weapons will definitely have more than 30% output damage from their ww.

Hope this info give people a clearer idea on the importance of ww now, n perhaps allow public to make better choices when choosing their offhand.

its too bad we cannot get a file from the client that lists each successive hit. they have that stupid animation and they even have a way to select just crit hits.

itd be nice to see the stream of your damage in a excel sheeeit.

Maybe you used the offhand's speed with WW and Sprint, and used the mainhand's speed with only sprint.

Yep. However, high stats offhand would still be the main factor to consider because it affects your 70% damage output.

Try to strive for a balance.

For instance, OH A is still better than OH B on stats wise. The additional Critical Damage from A outweighs the DPS from B. Furthermore, the increase in APS could possibly improve your tick per second Breakpoint.

Ofc, u should never choose a insanely low dps OH now, since we know that OH dps does affect part of the 30% damage output.
