Well I just saw this on official forums. I'm not sure if it has already been posted here or is illegal to do so (Sorry if that's the case). But I felt obligated to share with you guys, so you won't buy unid items and get scammed.

You can check an unid item without id'ing it by doing this;

1. Link item in chat box
[ItemName]

2. Type two random characters and link it again
[ItemName]aa[ItemName]

3. Put your cursor in the middle of the two characters and then delete three times and the item will bug and display the codes for the different properties it has so you can see what it has if you know what those codes mean. (ie you can check to see if it has sockets etc)

[ItemName]xtemName]
But instead
[ItemName]xCODESHERE]

No doubt they are gonna fix this soon enough. I don't really care since I only play HC and there isn't really an unid market there.

Edit: You can essentially do the same thing by id'ing your item and then dc'ing your internet quickly, you will log back into BNet with the item unid, but since you already saw it you know what it is. This way is just much more simple.
